December 9 Devotional
Dear Friends,
Our paths are not always straight as we journey through this life are they? You all know too well that as soon as we think we’re on “easy street” and the path is nice and straight, that’s about the time we hit a curve! Didn’t see THAT coming did you? Seems like it’s always something doesn’t it? But, the good news is that we’re never alone. We have our God and we have each other. Going out on a limb with God seems a little easier when our friends are on the other end of the limb holding on tight! Thanks for your friendship and faithfulness. Love and Hugs, Scott

Be Willing To Go Out On A Limb with Me. If that is where I am leading you, it is the safest place to be. Your desire to live a risk-free life is a form of unbelief. Your longing to live close to Me is at odds with your attempts to minimize risk. You are approaching a crossroad in your journey. In order to follow Me wholeheartedly, you must relinquish your tendency to play it safe.
Let Me lead you step by step through this day. If your primary focus is on Me, you can walk along perilous paths without being afraid. Eventually, you will learn to relax and enjoy the adventure of our journey together. As long as you stay close to Me. My sovereign Presence protects you wherever you go.
Psalm 23:4 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 9:10 10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
John 12:26 26Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

November 20th devotional
Dear Friends,
On the heels of pastor Mike’s message yesterday, this devotional really hits home. If we are waiting for the world to truly be at peace and without conflict and strife, we will be waiting for eternity. As long as there are people in the world, there will be wars, hatred, disease, strife and fear. Nothing we can do to change that. However, as we were reminded yesterday, Jesus came into this world to change us, one soul at a time, to save us from the world in which we live, not necessarily to change the world. Yet, every time someone says “yes” to Christ, I think the world does become a better place. So, stay focused on your relationship with our heavenly Father and keep sharing the Good News of Christ this Christmas. Peace and Love, Scott

Problems Are Part Of Life. They are inescapable; woven into the very fabric of this fallen world. You tend to go into problem-solving mode all too readily, acting as if you have the capacity to fix everything. This is a habitual response, so automatic that it bypasses your conscious thinking. Not only does this habit frustrate you, it also distances you from Me.
Do not let fixing things be your top priority. You are ever so limited in your capacity to correct all that is wrong in the world around you. Don’t weigh yourself down with responsibilities that are not your own. Instead, make your relationship with Me your primary concern. Talk with Me about whatever is on your mind, seeking My perspective on the situation. Rather than trying to fix everything that comes to your attention, ask Me to show you what is truly important. Remember that you are
en route to heaven, and let your problems fade in the Light of eternity. Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;I will counsel you and watch over you.Luke 10:41-42
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things,42but only one thing is needed” Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”Philippians 3:20-21
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,21who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.Daily Devotional from “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young

November 19 Devotional
Dear Friends,
It seems everyone I know is going through some sort of transition in their lives. Some of these changes are things we anticipated and some are not. Such is life right!? But no matter what, Christ is with us, guiding us, comforting us and reassuring us that He’s got it under control. Thank God! So, chill a bit. Leave it to God. And enjoy the moment, whatever it is, in the “now”. I give thanks for each of you today and every day! Peace in Christ, Scott

Leave Outcomes Up To Me. Follow Me wherever I lead, without worrying about how it will all turn out. Think of your life as an adventure, with Me as your Guide and Companion. Live in the now, concentrating on staying in step with Me. When our path leads to a cliff, be willing to climb it with My help. When we come to a resting place, take time to be refreshed in My Presence. Enjoy the rhythm of life lived close to Me.
Exodus 15:13 13 “In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.
You already know the ultimate destination of your journey: your entrance into heaven. So keep your focus on the path just before you, leaving outcomes to Me.
Psalm 27:13-14
13 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.Exodus 15:13 13 “In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.
