August 15 Devotional

Dear Friends,

We all have problems that creep into our lives. Christians deal with adversity differently than non Christians. Thanks be to God! See you all tonight as we worship through music and let the problems of the world fade away for a little while. Peace and Love, Scott

I Am The God Of All Time and all that is. Seek Me not only in morning quietness but consistently throughout the day. Do not let unexpected problems distract you from My Presence. Instead, talk with Me about everything, and watch confidently to see what I will do.

Adversity need not interrupt your communion with Me. When things go “wrong,” you tend to react as if you’re being punished. Instead of this negative response, try to view difficulties as blessings in disguise. Make Me your Refuge by pouring out your heart to Me, trusting in Me at all times.

Psalm 55:17 17 Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice.

Psalm 32:6 6 Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him.

Psalm 62:8 8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

August 14 Devotional

Dear Friends,

Ever go into shock due to the rapid rate of all that’s changing around you? So do I! But fear not. There is One who never changes and promises to be with us no matter what state of chaos I am in or my world is in. Read on for inspiration! Peace and Love, Scott

________________________________________________________

I Am Yours For All Eternity. I am the Alpha and the Omega: the One who is and was and is to come. The world you inhabit is a place of constant changes–more than your mind can absorb without going into shock. Even the body you inhabit is changing relentlessly, in spite of modern science’s attempts to prolong youth and life indefinitely. I, however, am the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Because I never change, your relationship with Me provides a rock-solid foundation for your life. I will never leave your side. When you move on from this life to the next, My Presence beside you will shine brighter with each step. You have nothing to fear, because I am with you for all time and throughout eternity.

Revelation 1:18 18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Hebrews 13:8 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Psalm 102:25-27 25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. 26 They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. 27 But you remain the same, and your years will never end.

Psalm 48:14 14 For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.

Italy Trip Update

GREAT NEWS! We have the flight details (we’re flying American) and our fantastic tour company has managed to get our air down to 1016.00 total! Read below and know that we’ll be adjusting our schedule slightly so that we’ll begin the tour in Florence instead of Rome. Looking forward to this exciting and wonderful trip with you all. Peace, Scott

AA 80Q 14JUN F Dallas London Heathrow 925P 1225P

AA 6356G 15JUN J London Heathrow Pisa 335P 645P

/OPERATED BY BRITISH AIRWAYS /BA 0602G/ZJUF9B

AA 5525G 24JUN M Venice Madrid 740A 1015A

/OPERATED BY IBERIA /IB 3249G/JVJBH

AA 37Q 24JUN M Madrid Dallas HK50 100P 515P

The price is a base fare of $882, and air taxes of $136 for a total of $1,016. That is $170 LESS than our estimate and best of all, American is now guaranteeing the fuel charges so the price cannot go up!

What are the consequences? This means that we would adjust the tour so that we would begin in Florence, then go to Spoleto and Rome before continuing on to Venice. For those who are wishing to use frequent flyer miles, they can still fly into Rome or Pisa or Florence. From Rome Airport or Pisa Airport there is a train service available to get them to Florence.

Dear Beloved Friends,

Remember those books called “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff” and many variations there after?  God said it first…..read, relax and enjoy this gift of life!  Hugs, Scott

_________________________________________________________

Learn To Enjoy Life More.  Relax, remembering that I am God with you.  I crafted you with enormous capacity to know Me and enjoy My Presence.  When My people wear sour faces and walk through their lives with resigned rigidity, I am displeased.  When you walk through a day with childlike delight, savoring every blessing, you proclaim your trust in Me, your ever-present Shepherd.  The more you focus on My Presence with you, the more fully you can enjoy life.  Glorify Me through your pleasure in Me.  Thus you proclaim My Presence to the watching world.

Matthew 1:23  23″The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us.”

John 10:10-11  10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 11″I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

August 9 Devotional

Dear Friends,

I love wearing a robe in church. For one thing, if I’ve gained a little around the middle, it covers it up beautifully! And if I’ve spilled something on my shirt, as I often do (another reason I rarely wear a white shirt!) it’s not a problem. A robe, as it has been said, can cover a multitude of sins. Now, regarding the robe of righteousness. Do not confuse self righteousness with the righteousness of God. One delights in “self”—the other delights in God. God calls us to put on His righteousness through our actions. This robe is weaved by the very blood of Jesus Christ. It is pure, regal and holy. And made JUST for YOU! So, wear it not with pride, but with humility and an awareness of the cost. So, go ahead…. Put it on. It looks GREAT on you! Peace and Love, Scott

_____________________________________________________________

Wear My Robe Of Righteousness with ease. I custom-made it for you, to cover you from head to toe. The price I paid for this covering was astronomical-My own blood. You could never purchase such a royal garment, no matter how hard you worked. Sometimes you forget that My righteousness is a gift, and you feel ill at ease in your regal robe. I weep when I see you squirming under the velvety fabric, as if it were made of scratchy sackcloth.

I want you to trust Me enough to realize your privileged position in My kingdom. Relax in the luxuriant folds of your magnificent robe. Keep your eyes on Me as you practice walking in this garment of righteousness. When your behavior is unfitting for one in My kingdom, do not try to throw off your royal robe. Instead throw off the unrighteous behavior. Then you will be able to feel at ease in this glorious garment, enjoying the gift I fashioned for you before the foundation of the world.

Isaiah 61:10 10

I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

2 Corinthians 5:21 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Ephesians 4:24 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

August 8 Devotional

Dear Friends,

These are indeed beautiful words from God to you, his beloved ones. Read and be blessed friends! Love, Scott

___________________________________________________________

I Speak To You from deepest heaven. You hear Me in the depths of your being. Deep calls unto deep. You are blessed to hear me so directly. Never take this privilege for granted. The best response is a heart overflowing with gratitude. I am training you to cultivate a thankful mindset. This is like building your house on a firm rock, where life’s storms cannot shake you. As you learn these lessons, you are to teach them to others. I will open up the way before you, one step at a time.

Psalm 42:7 7 Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.

Psalm 95:1-2 1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

Matthew 7:24-25 24″Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

August 7 Devotional

Dear Friends,

We are, by nature, problem solvers. This is especially true for us guys. We like to fix things! And our wives like to fix us! So, there’s a lot of “fixin” going on in our lives and in our relationships. Read on for what the Bible says:

_____________________________________________________________

Understanding will never bring you Peace. That’s why I have instructed you to trust in Me, not in your understanding. Human beings have a voracious appetite for trying to figure things out, in order to gain a sense of mastery over their lives. But the world presents you with an endless series of problems. As soon as you master one set, another pops up to challenge you. The relief you had anticipated is short-lived. Soon your mind is gearing up again: searching for understanding (mastery), instead of seeking Me (your Master).

The wisest of all men, Solomon, could never think his way through to Peace. His vast understanding resulted in feelings of futility, rather than in fulfillment. Finally, he lost his way and succumbed to the will of his wives by worshiping idols.

My Peace is not an elusive goal, hidden at the center of some complicated maze. Actually, you are always enveloped in Peace, which is inherent in My Presence. As you look to Me, you gain awareness of this precious Peace.

Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Romans 5:1 1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 Thessalonians 3:16 16Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
