Dear Friends,
Finding truly everlasting peace is a challenge for each of us.  According to the scriptures, it can only be found in Christ Jesus.  Many times, we seek this deep peace in things, ourselves and others.  In these, we can find joy and happiness, but not peace.  Peace comes from within and is not subject to any of the external circumstances that change with the wind.  Read on and my you find peace today and every day!  Amen.  Peace and Love, Scott

Learn To Live from your true Center in Me.  I reside in the deepest depths of your being, in eternal union with your spirit.  It is at this deep level that My Peace reigns continually.  You will not find lasting peace in the world around you, in circumstances, or in human relationships.  The external world is always in flux-under the curse of death and decay.  But there is a gold mine of Peace deep within you, waiting to be tapped.  Take time to delve into the riches of My residing Presence.  I want you to live increasingly from your real Center, where My Love has an eternal grip on you.  I am Christ in you, the hope of Glory.

Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.

Colossians 1:27 27To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

February 19 Devotional

Dear Beloved Friends,
We’ve all got problems.  Jesus assured us that we would.  And, it seems that the more life we live, the more people we come to know.  Family, friends and co-workers all have their problems too.  As people of God, we pray for them, console them and share all of these problems with them, on top of our own problems!  It can really get overwhelming at times.  Jesus has some words of advise during these troubling times.  Read on and be blessed.  Hugs and Love, Scott

You Are Feeling Weighed Down by a plethora of problems, both big and small. They seem to require more and more of your attention, but you must not give in to those demands. When the difficulties in your life feel as if they’re closing in on you, break free by spending quality time with Me. You need to remember who I Am in all My Power and Glory. Then humbly bring Me your prayers and petitions; your problems will pale when you view them in the Light of My Presence. You can learn to be joyful in Me, your Savior,even in the midst of adverse circumstances. Rely on Me, your Strength; I will make your feet like the feet of a deer, enabling you to go on the heights.

February 15 Devotional

Dear Friends,
Nothing is impossible with God!  He is strongest when we are at our weakest.  Trust and remember these truths.  Peace and Love, Scott

Come To Me with all your weaknesses: physical, emotional, and spiritual.  Rest in the comfort of My Presence, remembering that nothing is impossible for Me. 

Pry your mind away from your problems so that you can focus your attention on Me.  Recall that I am able to do far beyond all that you ask or imagine.  Instead of trying to direct Me to do this and that, seek to attune yourself to what I am already doing.

When anxiety attempts to wedge its way into your thoughts, remind yourself that I am your Shepherd.  The bottom line is that I am taking care of you; therefore, you needn’t be afraid of anything.  Rather than trying to maintain control over your life, abandon yourself to My will.  Though this may feel scary and dangerous, the safest place to be is in My will.

Luke 1:37 37For nothing is impossible with God.”

February 14 Devotional

Dear Friends,
I wanted to thank you all for your presence last night as we began our Lenten season with the observance of Ash Wednesday.  The choir loft was overflowing (we had to bring in more chairs!) and the orchestra sounded awesome!  What a beautiful night of worship.  We are now on the journey together towards Holy Week.  Don’t loose heart.  Keep the faith.  And may peace be with you.  Love, Scott

Peace Be With You!  Ever since the resurrection, this has been My watchword to those who yearn for Me.  As you sit quietly, let My Peace settle over you and enfold you in My loving Presence.  To provide this radiant Peace for you, I died a criminal’s death.  Receive My Peace abundantly and thankfully.  It is a rare treasure, dazzling in delicate beauty yet strong enough to withstand all onslaughts.  Wear My Peace with regal dignity.  It will keep your heart and mind close to Mine.

Dear Friends,
Today is Ash Wednesday and marks the beginning of the Lenten season.  I think this devotional is fitting as together we walk the path to the cross with Christ and celebrate His resurrection on Easter.  I give thanks for each of you and your dedication to this journey.  There is much strength in numbers, so let’s support each other, pray for each other and be blessed as partners in ministry for the Kingdom and Glory of God!  Amen and amen!

Give Yourself Fully to the adventure of today.  Walk boldly along the path of Life, relying on your ever-present Companion.  You have every reason to be confident, because My Presence accompanies you all the days of your life-and onward into eternity.  Do not give in to fear or worry, those robbers of abundant living.  Trust Me enough to face problems as they come, rather than trying to anticipate them.  Fix your eyes on Me, the Author and Perfecter of your faith, and many difficulties on the road ahead will vanish before you reach them.  Whenever you start to feel afraid, remember that I am holding you by your right hand.  Nothing can separate you from My Presence!

February 12 Devotional

Dear Friends,
This is an absolutely beautiful devotional.  Every word is so true!  Living and thinking in the Spirit is the only way to truly be happy on earth.  Eventually, we will return to our Father and our spirits will truly be one.  But for now, we all have to work at living in the Spirit.  Be careful of your thoughts, for they lead to words and actions.  It’s easy to underestimate the power of thoughts and words.  Remember who breathed life into you!  Our breath comes from the Creator of the universe.  That’s an awesome power and responsibility.  And, as you search for meaning and happiness, know that true joy only comes from our strong relationship with our Lord and Savior, not things, not other people, not power, not wealth.  God and God only.  Read on for inspiration!  Peace, Love and Grace be Yours, Scott

I Am Ever So Near You, hovering over your shoulder, reading every thought.  People think that thoughts are fleeting and worthless, but yours are precious to Me.  I smile when you think lovingly of Me.  My Spirit, who lives within you, helps you to think My thoughts.  As your thinking goes, so goes your entire being.

Let Me be your positive Focus.  When you look to Me, knowing Me as God with you, you experience Joy.  This is according to My ancient design, when I first crafted man.  Modern man seeks his positive focus elsewhere: in sports, sensations, acquiring new possessions.  Advertising capitalizes on the longing of people for a positive focus in their lives.  I planted that longing in human souls, knowing that only I could fully satisfy it.  Delight yourself in Me; let Me become the Desire of your heart.

February 11 Devotional

Dear Friends,
True peace is a treasure from our Heavenly Father given to us through trust and faith.  This peace is not earthly or bound to earthly circumstances.  That is why it is so elusive to non believers.  Deep peace transcends all the powers of darkness and bursts through pain, suffering and even death itself.  Accept this amazing gift and share it with others.  Be a light in the darkness today and every day!  Peace and Love, Scott

My Peace is like a shaft of golden Light shining on you continuously. During days of bright sunshine, it may blend in with your surroundings. On darker days, My Peace stands out in sharp contrast to your circumstances. See times of darkness as opportunities for My Light to shine in transcendent splendor I am training you to practice Peace that overpowers darkness. Collaborate with Me in this training. Do not grow weary or lose heart.

February 7 Devotional

Dear Friends,

Thank you all for your presence in choir, orchestra and bells last night.  We got a LOT done and had fun too!  I appreciate your hard work and commitment to the worship arts ministry here.  I love partnering with you all in being conduits for the Holy Spirit!  Amen!  I pray you all will get some rest this weekend.  Take care of yourselves physically, emotionally and spiritually.  And always remember that Christ is there, waiting for you with open arms.  Peace and Love, Scott

Come To Me For Rest and refreshment.  The journey has been much for you, and you are bone-weary.  Do not be ashamed of your exhaustion.  Instead, see it as an opportunity for Me to take charge of your life.

Remember that I can fit everything into a pattern for good, including the things you wish were different.  Start with where you are at this point in time and space, accepting that this is where I intended you to be.  You will get through today one step, one moment, at a time.  Your main responsibility is to remain attentive to Me, letting Me guide you through the many choices along your pathway.

This sounds like an easy assignment, but it is not.  Your desire to live in My Presence goes against the grain of “the world, the flesh, and the devil.”  Much of your weariness results from your constant battle against these opponents.  However, you are on the path of My choosing, so do not give up!  Hope in Me, for you will again praise Me for the help of My Presence.
