October 27th Devotional

Dear Friends,

We are creatures of habit are we not?  It’s easy to fall into the same routine as we go about our daily lives.  Routines are comfortable, predictable and safe.  However, it is when we try new things and take on new challenges that we grow the most, mentally, physically and spiritually.  So, talk to God about what new challenges He might be leading you to.  You are never alone in these life adventures.  You have friends to help you, and a loving God to guide you.  Be blessed in your new paths!  Peace and Love, Scott

As You Become increasingly aware of My Presence, you find it easier to discern the way you should go.  This is one of the practical benefits of living close to Me.  Instead of wondering about what is on the road ahead or worrying about what you should do if…or when…,you can concentrate on staying in communication with Me.  When you actually arrive at a choice-point, I will show you which direction to go.

Many people are so preoccupied with future plans and decisions that they fail to see choices they need to make today.  Without any conscious awareness, they make their habitual responses.  People who live this way find a dullness creeping into their lives.  They sleepwalk through their days, following well-worn paths of routine.

I, the Creator of the universe, am the most creative Being imaginable.  I will not leave you circling in deeply rutted paths.  Instead, I will lead you along fresh trails of adventure, revealing to you things you did not know.  Stay in communication with Me; following My guiding Presence.

Psalm 32:8 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.

Genesis 1:1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

October 14th devotional

Dear Friends,
I was too “busy” to send this yesterday or to put this devotional into practice!  Today is another day.  Be blessed.  Be loved.  Be still.  Hugs, Scott

Take Time To Be Still in My Presence.  The more hassled you feel, the more you need this sacred space of communion with Me.  Breathe slowly and deeply.  Relax in My holy Presence while My Face shines upon you.  This is how you receive My Peace, which I always proffer to you.

Imagine the pain I feel when My children tie themselves up in anxious knots, ignoring My gift of Peace.  I died a criminal’s death to secure this blessing for you.  Receive it gratefully; hide it in your heart.  My Peace is an inner treasure, growing within you as you trust in Me.  Therefore, circumstances cannot touch it.  Be still, enjoying Peace in My Presence.

Psalm 46:10 10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Numbers 6:25-26
25 the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;  26the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.

October 12 Devotional

Dear Friends,
Knowing who you are and to whom you belong is where true peace and security is found.  I pray you find your peace in the eyes of Christ.  Hugs, Scott
_____________________________________________________________

Beware Of Seeing Yourself through other people’s eyes.  There are several dangers to this practice.  First of all, it is nearly impossible to discern what others actually think of you.  Moreover, their views of you are variable, subject to each viewer’s spiritual , emotional, and physical condition.  The major problem with letting others define you is that it borders on idolatry.  Your concern to please others dampens your desire to please Me, your Creator.

It is much more real to see yourself through My eyes.  My gaze upon you is steady and sure, untainted by sin.  Through My eyes you can see yourself as one who is deeply, eternally loved.  Rest in My loving gaze, and you will receive deep Peace. Respond to My loving Presence by worshiping Me in spirit and in truth.

Hebrews 11:6
6And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

John 4:23-24
23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”
