January 19 Devotional

Remember your first love and seek Him so that you may receive the blessings He has in store for you today and every day!  Read on dear friends….

 _______________________________________________________________

Seek My Face, and you will find more than you ever dreamed possible.  Let Me displace worry at the center of your being.  I am like a supersaturated cloud, showering Peace into the pool of your mind.  My Nature is to bless.  Your nature is to receive with thanksgiving.  This is a true fit, designed before the foundation of the world.  Glorify Me by receiving My blessings gratefully.

I am the goal of all your searching.  When you seek Me, you find Me and are satisfied.  When lesser goals capture your attention, I fade into the background of your life.  I am still there, watching and waiting; but you function as if you were alone.  Actually, My Light shines on every situation you will ever face.  Live radiantly by expanding your focus to include Me in all your moments.  Let nothing dampen your search for Me.

Philippians 4:7 (MSG) 6-7Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

Psalm 27:8
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.

Jeremiah 29:13
13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Italy Trip info

Dear Friends,

I just spoke to our tour consultants regarding our tour in 2013 and things are looking FANTASTIC!  I will be getting the tour itinerary to you soon as there are revisions that I’ve asked him to make.  The first revision is a new lower price due to the euro coming down a bit.  This could change, of course, but we’ll take it while we can!  Prices will be more locked in after the deposit is made.  Also, to keep the price down, the dates are now June 14-June 24th.  Normally we try to tour around the beginning of July to take advantage of vacation days etc. but our tour guy said the airfare was difficult to get and much more expensive.  Let me know if these new dates will be an issue.  Anyone planning a wedding?  I know some of you will be celebrating anniversaries while on tour.  What a romantic place to celebrate!  So here’s some basics in a nutshell:

Dates: June 14-24, 2013

Cities: Rome, Vatican City, Assisi, Spoleto, Norcia, Siena, Florence, Lucca, Venice (these are some of the most beautiful cities in Italy)

Cost:  3100-3400 (this is land AND air.  Some will fly standby or use miles.  Deduct around 1200 if you do this)

Hotels:  nice 3 and 4 star hotels with private baths

Food: All breakfasts buffets and four dinners included.  One wine and cheese tasting (ymmmm…)

Performances:  Four short (30-45 minute) concerts, one Sunday morning service.

Lots of Free time!: Florence and Venice are both “free” days.  We’ll give you options and you pick!  How ‘bout spending the day at the Lido beach?  Gorgeous!

Popular Museums included: (Sistine chapel, Roman Coliseum etc.)

All Gratuities Included (including the tip for bus driver and tour guide!)

All Travel Insurance Included (cancellation for medical, medical coverage, trip delay, lost luggage, theft)

Optional extensions available through the tour agency

Ok.  This is just the start.  More details will be sent as soon as I receive them.  Start saving your money now!  Payments will be made to the tour company directly via credit card or debit card.  Right now, we have between 50 and 60 who have expressed an interest.  Should be a GREAT group and tons of fun!  Looking forward to sharing this new life experience with you all.

Peace and Love, Scott

January 18 Devotional

I love the thought of being on the journey with Christ.  Knowing we are not alone gives me great comfort.  I pray you continue to walk hand-in-hand with our Lord and Savior this day and every day.  He loves you SO much!  Peace, Scott

I Am Leading You Along The High Road, but there are descents as well as ascents.  In the distance you see snow-covered peaks glistening in brilliant sunlight.  Your longing to reach those peaks is good, but you must not take shortcuts.  Your assignment is to follow Me, allowing Me to direct your path.  Let the heights beckon you onward, but stay close to Me.

Learn to trust Me when things go “wrong.”  Disruptions to your routine highlight your dependence on Me.  Trusting acceptance of trials brings blessings that far outweigh them all.  Walk hand in hand with Me through this day.  I have lovingly planned every inch of the way.  Trust does not falter when the path becomes rocky and steep.  Breathe deep draughts of My Presence, and hold tightly to My hand.  Together we can make it!

John 21:19 19Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow me!”

2 Corinthians 4:17 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

Habakkuk 3:19
19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.  For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.

January 17 Devotional

Live below your means and above your circumstances.  Just think about it and then live it!  Peace in Christ, Scott

Come To Me With A Thankful Heart, so that you can enjoy My Presence.  This is the day that I have made.  I want you to rejoice today, refusing to worry about tomorrow. Search for all that I have prepared for you, anticipating abundant blessings and accepting difficulties as they come.  I can weave miracles into the most mundane day if you keep your focus on Me.

Come to Me with all your needs, knowing that My glorious riches are a more-than-adequate supply.  Stay in continual communication with Me, so that you can live above your circumstances even while you are in the midst of them.  Present your requests to Me with thanksgiving, and My Peace, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your heart and mind.

Philippians 4:19 19And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7
6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
