April 10 Devotional

Dear Beloved,

I love the fact that even our mistakes can be made into something good.  That’s grace in abundance and gives me hope even when the situation seems hopeless.  I pray you embrace these truths today.  See you soon!  God Bless you all, hugs and love, Scott

Trust Me In Every Detail Of Your Life

Nothing is random in My kingdom. Everything that happens fits into a pattern for good, to those who love Me. Instead of trying to analyze the intricacies of the pattern, focus your energy on trusting Me and thanking Me at all times. Nothing is wasted when you walk close to Me. Even your mistakes and sins can be recycled into something good, through My transforming grace.

While you were still living in darkness, I began to shine the Light of My Presence into your sin-stained life. Finally, I lifted you up out of the mire into My marvelous Light. Having sacrificed My very Life for you, I can be trusted in every facet of your life.

Jeremiah 17:7 But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose.

Psalm 40:2 He drew me up out of a horrible pit (a pit of tumult and destruction), out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and sit my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

You Are Mine For All Time

; nothing can separate you from My Love. Since I have invested My very Life in you, be well assured that I will also take care of you. When your mind goes into neutral and your thoughts flow freely, you tend to feel anxious and alone. Your focus becomes problem solving. To get your mind back into gear, just turn toward Me, bringing yourself and your problems into My Presence.

Many problems vanish instantly in the Light of My Love, because you realize you are never alone. Other problems may remain, but they become secondary to knowing Me and rejoicing in the relationship I so freely offer you. Each moment you can choose to practice My Presence or to practice the presence of problems.

Romans 8:38-39: 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Exodus 33:14 The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you , and I will give you rest.”

April 5 Devotional

I love the thought of “Glory Gifts”!  What an amazing way to live life to the fullest, as Christ intended us to live.  May this weekend be a blessing to you as your receive and serve through the gift of music!  Peace and Love Friends, Scott

_____________________________________________________

Let Me Fill You with my Love, Joy and Peace. These are Glory-gifts, flowing from my living Presence. Though you are an earthen vessel, I designed you to be filled with heavenly contents. Your weakness is not a deterrent to being filled with My Spirit; on the contrary, it provides and opportunity for My Power to shine forth more brightly.

As you go through this day, trust Me to provide the strength that you need moment by moment.  Don’t waste energy wondering whether you are adequate for today’s journey. My Spirit within you is more than sufficient to handle whatever this day may bring. That is the basis for your confidence! In quietness (spending time alone with Me) and confident trust (relying on My sufficiency) is your strength.

2 Corinthians 4:7 (NASB)  7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves. Isaiah 30:15 15 This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.

April 2 Devotional

Dear Friends,

I’m good at growing weeds.  You might say I’m an expert.  I do my yearly battle with whatever the guy at Home Depot recommends, but not matter what, it seems I still have them flourishing in my front yard.  This year, I’m trying a different approach.  I’m doing my best to grow grass!  I prepared the ground, fertilized and seeded with Bermuda grass seed in the hopes that this year might be different.  I’m happy to report that I am seeing signs of life!  Little sprouts of grass peeping up from weed infested ground.

Our spiritual life is indeed like a garden.  Weeds don’t simply go away.  One has to be intentional about getting rid of them and, in turn, planting what you want to grow in its place.

As we enter this Holy Week, I pray you have been preparing your heart to receive the spiritual bounty Christ has in store for you.  It is His gift, specifically designed with you in mind.  I’ll be seeing a lot of you all this week and I look forward to sharing the blessings of fellowship, worship and adoration.  Peace Friends, Scott

I Have Promised to meet all your needs according to My glorious riches.  Your deepest, most constant need is for My Peace.  I have planted Peace in the garden of your heart, where I live; but there are weeds growing there too: pride, worry, selfishness, unbelief.  I am the Gardener, and I am working to rid your heart of these weeds.  I do My work in various ways.  When you sit quietly with Me, I shine the Light of My Presence directly into your heart.  In this heavenly Light, Peace grows abundantly and weeds shrivel up.  I also send trials into your life.  When you trust Me in the midst of trouble, Peace flourishes and weeds die away.  Thank Me for troublesome situations; the Peace they can produce far outweighs the trials you endure.

Philippians 4:19 19And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 4:17 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

March 28 Devotional

Beloved,

I think that the only real way to receive deep peace, is to keep our eyes focused on Jesus.  When we focus on ourselves and all that is around us, peace seems to flee like morning midst.  May you find peace today and every day.  Love and Hugs, Scott

_____________________________________________________________

I Am A God Who Gives and gives and gives.  When I died for you on the cross, I held back nothing; I poured out My Life like a drink offering.  Because giving is inherent in My nature, I search for people who are able to receive in full measure.  To increase your intimacy with Me, the two traits you need the most are receptivity and attentiveness.  Receptivity is opening up your innermost being to be filled with My abundant riches.  Attentiveness is directing your gaze to Me: searching for Me in all your moments.  It is possible to stay your mind on Me, as the prophet Isaiah wrote.  Through such attentiveness you receive a glorious gift: My perfect Peace.

Philippians 2:17 17But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. Mark 10:15 15I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)  3You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

March 27 Devotional

Remember your first love my friends.  Read on and be blessed!  Hugs, Scott

___________________________________________

Be Still In My Presence, even though countless tasks clamor for your attention.  Nothing is as important as spending time with Me.  While you wait in My Presence.  I do My best work within you: transforming you by the renewing of your mind.  If you skimp on this time with Me, you may plunge headlong into the wrong activities, missing the richness of what I have planned for you.

Do not seek Me primarily for what I can give you.  Remember that I, the Giver, am infinitely greater than any gift I might impart to you.  Though I delight in blessing My children, I am deeply grieved when My blessings become idols in their hearts.  Anything can be an idol if it distracts you from Me as your First Love.  When I am the ultimate Desire of your heart, you are safe from the danger of idolatry.  As you wait in My Presence, receive the greatest gift of all: Christ in you, the hope of glory!

Romans 12:2 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Revelation 2:4 4Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Colossians 1:27 27To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

March 26- Devotional

Dear Friends,

I don’t know about you, but I tend to get impatient at times.  Lines of traffic and lines at the grocery store are my biggest weaknesses.  It’s where I practice deep breathing and close observation of what God is trying to teach me.  I have to talk myself out of feelings of anxiousness and sometimes, anger.  It probably all comes down to control issues.  All you can control is how you react.  So, find some time to wait on God, even if it’s in a line.  Read on for inspiration!  And, I can’t WAIT to see you all again.  Peace, Scott

______________________________________________________

Waiting On Me means directing your attention to Me in hopeful anticipation of what I will do.  It entails trusting Me with every fiber of your being, instead of trying to figure things out yourself.  Waiting on Me is the way I designed you to live, all day, every day.  I created you to stay conscious of Me as you go about your daily duties.

I have promised many blessings to those who wait on Me: renewed strength, living about one’s circumstances, resurgence of hope, awareness of My continual Presence.  Waiting on Me enables you to glorify Me by living in deep dependence on Me, ready to do My will.  It also helps you to enjoy Me; in My Presence is fullness of Joy.

Lamentations 3:25-26 25 The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; 26 it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. Isaiah 40:31 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Psalm 16:11 11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
