This may be the last devotional I send for a while. I hope to have internet while in Italy, but we’ll see! Regardless, I LOVE today’s devotional! It’s so positive, uplifting and Spirit-filled–exactly the way a Christian should be. I pray that each of you allows the Spirit that dwells within you to shine brightly on all those you meet. Let your light shine before men that they may know the glory of the Lord and the Spirit that strengthens you, sustains you and fills you with everlasting hope, joy, love and peace. Amen!

Ever been around someone who constantly moans and groans throughout the day? It’s depressing and exhausting to be around someone like that. This is not how God created to act. Regardless of our circumstances, the path of Peace is ours for the choosing through Jesus Christ. So, choose now how you will react to each situation that comes your way today. Thank God for the difficulties and then pray for strength and wisdom to turn each trial into a blessing. Hugs and Much Love, Scott

Let Me Help You get through this day. There are many possible paths to travel between your getting up in the morning and your lying down at night. Stay alert to the many choice-points along the way, being continually aware of My Presence. You will get through this day one way or the other. One way is to moan and groan, stumbling along with shuffling feet. This will get you to the end of the day eventually, but there is a better way. You can choose to walk with Me along the path of Peace, leaning on Me as much as you need. There will still be difficulties along the way, but you can face them confidently in My strength. Thank Me for each problem you encounter, and watch to see how I transform trials into blessings.

Dear Beloved,
Many times fear can control our minds and bodies, crippling us to the point that we become ineffective in ministry and leading dull, boring lives. This is not the life Christ promised His disciples nor calls us to live. Our strength and song indeed comes from the Lord! There is a battle going on in our minds. I felt this battle just this morning during my prayer time. I felt my mind easily distracted from what was truly important–communion with God. So, realize there’s a battle going on and that you can’t fight it alone. God likes us to be dependent upon Him, so ask away! Be blessed in your Holy Battles! Amen! Love and Hugs, Scott

Trust Me and don’t be afraid, for I am your Strength and Song. Do not let fear dissipate your energy. Instead, invest your energy in trusting Me and singing My Song. The battle for control of your mind is fierce, and years of worry have made you vulnerable to the enemy. Therefore, you need to be vigilant in guarding your thoughts. Do not despise this weakness in yourself, since I am using it to draw you closer to Me. Your constant need for Me creates an intimacy that is well worth all the effort. Wow! I needed this one today especially! As you can imagine, my mind is racing with all of the details and anxiety that go with any major trip. Prayer will keep me grounded and in constant communion with the Master. It’s important to keep things in perspective and simply enjoy the moment. So, I take a deep breath and give this day to Him. Rest In Me, My Child. Give your mind a break from planning and trying to anticipate what will happen. Pray continually, asking My Spirit to take charge of the details of this day. Remember that you are on a journey with Me. When you try to peer into the future and plan for every possibility, you ignore your constant Companion, who sustains you moment by moment. As you gaze anxiously into the distance, you don’t even feel the strong grip of My hand holding yours. How foolish you are, My child!
Remembrance of Me is a daily discipline. Never lose sight of My Presence with you. This will keep you resting in Me all day, every day.
